The quarter 1 of 2020 release quad core Intel Celeron J4115 processor has 4 threads without hyperthreading and works at a base speed of 1.80GHz that goes up to 2.5GHz with the turbo boost function. It is a lower mid-range CPU with an average CPU Passmark benchmark score of 2728 and the overall performance level a little better than the N4100. 8GB LPDDR4 memory is more than adequate for efficient multitasking and the 128GB SSD is fine if you don’t have a lot of multimedia files to save, but it is much faster than the regular SATA HDD hard drive.
15.6-inch Full HD wide view LED-backlit non-touch display has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and IPS panel with the 178-degree viewing angles vertically and horizontally. It offers clear text, rich and vibrant colors and overall decent picture quality when you’re browsing the internet, streaming or watching videos or typing documents. Graphics card is the built-in Intel UHD 600 (Gemini Lake) with a similar performance to the Intel HD 500 and will let you play the very basic games like Sims 4 and Dirt Rally. The videocard benchmark score is just 332, indicating an entry level performance.
The sound quality is quite reasonable through the dual speakers, has a HD quality webcam, a smooth touchpad and edge to edge keyboard with numeric pad. Connectivity options include the dual band 802.11ac wireless (2.4G and 5G), Bluetooth 4.2, a mni HDMI output, 2 x very fast USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack port, a microSD and TF card slot that supports up to 128GB and a DC-in port.
