Lenovo 15.5 Inch Business Laptop B50-45 59441913

Lenovo B50-45 59441913 is an inexpensive 15.6 inch business laptop with the Windows 7 operating system, innovative technology and features that help it deliver decent computing experience for how much it costs, with modest specs such as a basic AMD CPU and sufficient amounts of memory and hard drive for the not so complex daily tasks as long as you don’t multitask too much or run super demanding software and is suitable and actually ideal for anyone on a tight budget. So the Lenovo B50-45 has the low mid range dual core AMD E1-6010 “Beema” processor (1MB Cache) at 1.35GHz speed and with TDP of 10W (no turbo boost or hyper threading), 4GB DDR3 SDRAM memory for some multitasking power (along with the AMD-E1) to control your apps with ease, 320GB HDD SATA hard drive at 5400rpm as basic storage space at standard speed but still fast enough and Windows 7 Professional (Windows 8.1 Professional License if you like the layout more and want quick access to its apps).

15.6 inch (15.5″ on Amazon product page) widescreen HD LED-backlit anti-glare display with 16:9 image aspect ratio and 1366 x 768 pixel resolution for crisp, sharp and bright visuals and AMD Radeon R2 dedicated graphics with a benchmark G3D score just under 300 that is capable of running only the lighter games at lower settings and playable frame rates.. It has an integrated low-light sensitive 720p HD webcam with microphone for great live video chats. Dolby Advanced Audio and stereo speakers offer decent immersive surround sound for movies and songs. Lenovo B50 weighs 6 pounds and measures 12 x 2 x 14 inches so it is neither lightweight nor slim for a 15.6 inch laptop but sure has a very solid build quality. Island style AccuType keyboard is ergonomic and comfy which allows you to make less errors. Connectivity options are: 802.11bgn wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet LAN for wired internet, HDMI output, VGA output, 2 x USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports for fast data transfer between other devices and the computer, 1 x USB 2.0 port, 4-in-1 memory card reader, 1 x headphone/microphone jack and 1 x DC-in. You will find some bloatware on it that you need to uninstall for better performance overall and will boot up many times faster too.

Conclusion: Lenovo B50-45 is quite a good deal as an entry level business laptop: You have the low mid range AMD E1 processor with a Passmark benchmark score of 869 today that still runs smoothly (for the price) with a variety of daily tasks including video streaming, word documents, spreadsheets, video conferencing, internet surfing and light gaming (lower cost, less heat and more energy efficiency); 4GB memory that is all right for decent multitasking but expandable up to 16GB for those that would need more memory; 320GB HDD that may seem as small but can still roughly store 170 hours of HD video, 90,000 standard songs and more than 200,000 photos and 4-cell battery for up to 5 hours of battery life. In the box you’ll find the laptop itself, AC adapter and power cord, battery, quick start guide and limited 1 year Mail-In hardware warranty. We like that it comes pre-installed with Windows 7 Pro with a Pro License of Win 8.1 (this system is reported to run faster on Win 8.1) and a free upgrade to Win 10 at the end of July 2015, that it has a solid and sturdy build and consider this as a decent value business computer overall for the low price tag. Naturally you can’t play any of the more demanding games but the older titles at just 720p resolution and lower settings: Team Fortress 2, World of Warcraft and League of Legends at 15-30 frames per second. This is an entry level business laptop and should not be evaluated for its gaming performance and it performs just fine with the daily multimedia, office and internet use.
