Conclusion: HP Envy x360 15-u110dx comes with a bit of bloatware which you may need to remove prior to use as is often the case with HP machines and CyberLink Suite (Media Player and Photo Director), Dragon Assistant and a month trial of Microsoft Office 365. It is responsive- works fast with the i5 processor (has a low energy design and longer battery life but is still an i5 so still a higher end of mid-range processors and you can comfortably run Photoshop and pretty much anything other than 2015 games at high settings- most games will work but just at low frames per second and resolutions) and 8GB memory (not expandable as the single memory slot is occupied but will be more than enough for the majority of customers), is a convenient 360 degree rotating ‘around the special hinge’ 2-in-1 tablet and laptop with a backlit keyboard and a Full HD display but not with IPS panel. It is an EPEAT Silver registered and ENERGY STAR qualified computer consuming 20-30% less than similar machines. 1TB HDD is only at 5400rpm but still serves the purpose and is good for the large size if you need a lot of storage space for your multimedia files. Larger screen is nice to have for viewing things better but as most 2-in-1 units have smaller screens as portability may be an issue it will come down to your personal choice and sound quality is better than competitors. Windows 8 is not great but at least you have the touch display and by the end of July you’ll be able to upgrade to the new Windows 10 and it comes with 12 month limited parts and labor warranty. HP Envy x360 not only offers the convenience of having a tablet and laptop in one with a cool design, but also a fast and powerful machine overall- a very nice one especially for the price considering hybrids can be rather expensive in general.
