Dell XPS 13 XPS9350-5342GLD 13.3

Gold Dell XPS 13 XPS9350-5342GLD is a premium 13.3 inch modern ultrabook laptop advertised as the smallest 13 inch computer in the world thanks to its borderless InfinityEdge display, with advanced high end technical specs and features like a QHD+ touch display, up to 18 hours of super battery life, sixth generation dual core Intel i7-6560U processor (4MB cache) at 2.2GHz speed up to 3.2GHz with turbo boost and hyper threading, large and very snappy 256GB Solid State Drive, 8GB on-board low voltage LPDDR3 at 1866MHz that is plenty of memory for multitasking power but that can work with 16GB maximum and Windows 10 64-bit with brand new user friendly features and Microsoft Signature Image meaning it meets the standards of Windows hardware certification, starts up faster, set-up is very quick, includes Windows Defender and more.

Gold chassis XPS 13 weighs only 2.8 pounds with dimensions of 12 x 7.9 x 0.6 inches, which means it is slim, portable and very nice to look at. As this is quite a slim and compact machine you will be restricted by the connectivity options and there is no built-in DVD Drive, no Ethernet with RJ-45 connector and no HDMI output (use an adapter to connect to your HDTV) but includes 2×2 802.11ac dual-band unit with Bluetooth 4.1, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C which works with thunderbolt 3 as well and you can connect monitors and an Optical Drive, a Headphone & microphone combo port, 3-in-1 Media Card Reader that supports SD, SDHC and SDXC and a HD webcam with 1280×720 pixel resolution for video chats.

Dell XPS 13 XPS9350-5342GLD 13.3-Inch QHD+

13.3 inch Ultra High Definition touchscreen has the 3200×1800 pixel resolution for super clear images with the finest details and very vivid colours. Graphics card is the Intel Iris Graphics 540 Skylake GT3e with 1700MB memory and videocard benchmark score of 1434 placing it as one of the best integrated graphics on the market so you can play a lot of modern games but for the very demanding games you can have the lower settings and resolutions at acceptable frame rates. It has a backlit keyboard without numeric pad but a large functional touchpad.

Thermal Design Power- TDP is 15 watts for the ultra low voltage processor and the 4-cell 56Whr lithium ion battery will last up to 18 hours on average according to manufacturer despite very high resolution display, high performance processor and multimedia capability but our guess it would be more like 8-10 hours in practice. Maximum supported memory of 16GB doesn’t mean you can upgrade the existing 8GB and you may need to get a machine with 16GB pre-installed but majority of computer users will really not need more than 8GB. Screen will not rotate beyond 135 degrees as this is not a convertible machine but the touch function supports multiple gestures and works well. This is an impressive business type laptop that is suitable for multimedia editing with a high price tag that can be compared to Apple Macbook machines but somewhat higher specs and features too, such as the QHD+ touchscreen that offers better image quality than FHD, longer battery life, 2016 release Intel i7 processor with a Passmark benchmark score of 4813 as of today which is sufficient for both daily and very demanding tasks, generous 256GB SSD that is plenty of storage space and more.
