Dell Inspiron 17 5000 5755 Laptop, 17.3 inch AMD A6-7310

Dell Inspiron 17 5000 5755 is a late 2015 release 17.3 inch laptop with a HD+ LED backlit display, a quad core AMD A6-7310 processor at 2GHz speed up to 2.4GHz with turbo boost and no hyper threading, modest 4GB DDR3L SDRAM at 1600MHz for some multitasking power, 1TB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400rpm as large amount of storage and Windows 8.1 that you can upgrade to Windows 10 Home for free. This being a certified and refurbished model it comes with all the necessary original accessories and is tested, cleaned, thoroughly inspected and repackaged but may be sent in a generic box and looks and works like brand new (do not worry as only sellers with high performance can offer certified and refurbished products on Amazon) and the warranty is 90 days. It is offered in different colour options of silver, black, blue, red and white. 17.3 inch LED-backlit Trulife display has the HD+ resolution with 1600 x 900 pixels which is an acceptable resolution on such large display (37% higher than regular high definition screens) and the image is nice and clear with vivid colours, and includes a high definition webcam with 1280 x 720 pixels with integrated microphone. Graphics card is Radeon R4 for daily photo and video viewing, generally decent graphics performance (comparable to Intel HD 4200 or Radeon HD 7470M) and internet browsing and light gaming and it has tuned stereo speakers and Waves MaxxAudio.

Dell Inspiron 17 5000 5755 Laptop, 17.3 inch AMD A6-7310 4GB 1TB

Dell Inspiron 17 5000 5755 weighs 5.8 pounds and measures 16.41 x 14.9 x 0.95 inches (less than 1 inch thickness is pretty good for a 17 inch display laptop). Connectivity options include the 8X DVD+/-RW Drive, 802.11bgn Dell Wireless-N 1707, Bluetooth 4.0, 10/100 Fast Ethernet, with RJ-45 connector an HDMI 1.4a output, a USB3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, Media Card Reader (SD, SDHC, SDXC) and Kensington lock slot. Like anything sold via Amazon.com if the unit arrives in a damaged condition you can return it and get the full amount within 30 days of your purchase. With a Passmark benchmark score of 2624 at the time of this review you have a 2015 release mid range processor here with a similar level performance of an ultra low voltage i3 processor and 4GB should be adequate for most computer users but if you have several apps and browsers open things may get a little slow. Windows 8 is not the best operating system around but you have the chance to upgrade it for free to Windows 10. 1TB is a lot of storage space for whatever you want to save on your computer but at 5400rpm, although it is fast enough you won’t get the same snappiness of an SSD (and they are coming down in price too) and a bit slower than the 7200rpm hard drives. This is still a reliable and responsive system with decent technical specs for the price for great overall performance and good graphics performance on its large screen display which is good for watching movies or having more working space when you’re switching from one browser to another. And for gaming you can play older games like FIFA fluently and newer titles at low settings.
