Conclusion: Black Asus Flip TP500LA-DS71T is a 2015 model flexible, convertible and powerful laptop and tablet with the latest 5th generation i7 processor with a Passmark benchmark score of 4033 on this review day- adequate power for multimedia, office and very demanding apps and tasks, very large amounts of hard drive and memory, good multimedia and graphics performance with Intel HD 5500 and a decent variety of connectivity options including Bluetooth and a USB 3.0 port for data transfers at up 10 times the speed and seems to have only small flaws such as the Windows 8.1 (which will be replaced by Windows 10 very soon in 2015- free upgrade), screen not being Full HD with 1080p resolution, lack of a DVD drive (only a small percentage of modern Windows and none of the current Mac computers do). It is Energy Star 4.0 certified (partly because of the ultra low voltage and low thermal design power processor) and comes with a 12 month global warranty by Asus as well as Accidental Damage Protection for the whole year for which you need to register.
