LG Electronics 65UB9200 is an amazing 65 inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz Native refresh rate Smart LED TV (Edge-lit with local dimming and it is 64.5 inches measured diagonally from corner to corner- quite a large screen). Being 4K UHD, you get 4 times the resolution of Full HD and this means 8 million pixels and 2160p resolution. 4K is pretty much the new standard for digital entertainment and this LG puts your picture through different processes for further enhancement of picture. It comes with an IPS panel that offers higher quality picture from larger angles no matter where you sit in the room.
LG 65UB9200 is quite a nice looking and modern TV with thin bezels and slim design but sturdy build quality, that weighs 76.7 pounds and has the measurements of 57.2 x 11.8 x 36 inches. It is mountable on a wall with the VESA standard of 400m x 400mm. 10- bit colour depth display offers more than a billion colours, magic remote lets you control your Blu-ray, sound bar or home theatre from one place, Smartshare to wirelessly browse and share files from your external storage devices on your TV screen. It comes with 3 HDMI inputs to get high-speed HDMI for proper 4K resolution picture and digital surround sound with just one HDMI cable (but make sure you have a high quality HDMI cable), 3 x USB ports to connect USB devices, a headphone jack, a Component Video input, a Composite Video input, RF Antenna input, Analog Audio output and Digital Optical Audio output.
Black LG 65UB9200 is very similar to the higher priced 65UB9500 model, the only difference being the 3D feature but it has all the great Smart TV features you can enjoy- have access to different content, connect to the internet with built-in wireless (and wired LAN capability- Ethernet connection), stream videos, movies, games and more. IPS panel is great to have and it should be on any good TV, so wherever you are in the room you’ll get the greatest viewing angles- 5 times less colour shift than Samsung 4K televisions even at just 30 degrees. The 4K resolution upscaler Tru-4K Engine Pro enables the upgrade from native video to almost 4K resolution. Outstanding 2D Picture quality with rich, clear and consistent colours and deep blacks, realistic with the finest details is way better than most other TV’s on the market and the current price on Amazon is worth it for the picture alone- there is obviously no 3D capability.
Sound on this 65 inch LG is quite all right with the 2.1 speaker system with a 35W output, Clear Voice II and Dolby Digital, six sound modes, three sound optimizers, but although not compulsory you may feel better using a sound bar. The effective Ultra Clarity Index of 1320 and native 120 Hz refresh rate mean there will not be judder or motion blur during action movies or sports. The TV is quite easy to set-up and the remote control are very easy to use. Being a 65 inch TV, it is a large screen TV requiring a bit more than a budget entry-level TV but it is an Energy Star certified and the estimated electricity consumption is 17 USD per annum- it will save you money on sleep, idle and on modes. TV quality is great overall but one of the customers complained about the not so nice looking stand and its quality. It has quite a solid build quality and comes with a 12 month limited parts and labor warranty by LG.
