GMK NucBox KB1 is a budget priced mini PC with Intel J4125 processor, 128GB Solid State Drive, 8GB DDR4 memory, Windows 10 Pro operating system, good connectivity options and 4K HD video output support. It is rated an average of 4.1 out of 5 stars by 20 users at the moment.
The quarter 1 of 2020 release quad core Intel Celeron J4125 processor (4 cores, 4 threads) offers similar performance to the Pentium Silver N5000. It works at a base speed of 2.0GHz with a turbo speed of 2.7GHz as required by the more demanding tasks. The typical Thermal Design Power is only 6 watts and has a very efficient small fan inside, a metal body and the heat dissipation holes at the top. It is nice to have a relatively high performance processor in such a small package.
The average CPU Passmark benchmark score is 3160 at the moment. It will be more than enough for daily computer use like internet browsing, using Word and Excel, 4K video streaming on Youtube and Netflix and moderate multitasking. You can use it for entertainment, school and office work easily. 8GB DDR4 memory offers a great deal of seamless multitasking power at this level of computing and you can open a few browser tabs and applications at once. 128GB Solid State Drive internal storage will let you boot up and shut down your mini PC and start apps and open files very quickly.
Windows 10 comes pre-installed on this mini computer and supports Linux operating system, like the mainstream Ubuntu distribution for software compilation and server construction purposes. The video card benchmark score is 334 at the time of this product review.
