Dragon Touch M8 weighs only 10.1 ounces and measures 8.50 x 5.20 x 0.50 inches- it is easy on the eyes, has a functional design, is very slim, lightweight and portable, feels durable with its smooth solid plastic casing and you can just put it in your handbag or backpack. Capable and fast ARM MTK8127 processor with four cores and 1.30 GHz speed offers really good performance and power efficiency and the pages seem to load pretty fast and streams videos nicely, which is also helped with the 1GB DDR3 SDRAM which may come across small at first sight if you compare it with laptops but is actually pretty good, offers smooth multitasking and it helps apps run faster than normal but of course 2GB RAM would perform even better than 1GB. Onboard Flash drive is 16GB in size and it is expandable up to 32GB if you need more storage space for your regular and multimedia files.
Android 4.4 KitKat operating system runs quite fluently and you may easily download applications from the already pre-installed Google Play Store and surf the net, view photos and watch videos smoothly- it is a great tablet for entertainment and seems to do a lot and perform very well without a hefty price tag. Speakers could be louder but this won’t be a drama when you use headphones and you really can’t expect too much at such low price range. 8 inch high definition display with 1280 x 800 pixel maximum screen resolution has the IPS- In Plane Switching feature so up to 178 degrees viewing angles vertically and horizontally is great when you are sharing the screen with others, reading ebooks, watching movies or doing your thing on a desk or lying on your bed and the image quality is quite good as the display is sharp, bright and vibrant. Touch function works well- it may feel different at first as not very responsive but you won’t be likely to press things by accident.
Dragon Touch M8 comes with the 802.11 bgn WiFi for hassle-free and fast wireless internet connection, Bluetooth by default to connect to other Bluetooth enabled devices like keyboard, speakers and headsets wirelessly, GPS sensor that will work with offline map apps successfully without needing the internet connection, FM Radio will let you play and listen to the radio programs of your choice and a miniHDMI port so you can watch your movies on your large screen HDTV as well as a microUSB, a Micro SD/TF Card and a Headphone Jack. You can play videos for up to 5 hours without running out of battery, which is a 4000 mAh one. It has dual cameras for both taking still snapshots and videos or for live video chats with family and friends. The user manual could be a little more detailed but if you are familiar with Android phones, you’ll find your way around it very quickly. All in all it is a great 8 inch modern Android tablet that appears to be awesome value for money and we recommend it highly.
