Dell UltraSharp U2515H 25-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor

Dell UltraSharp U2515H is a new release premium 25 inch size QHD LED-backlit widescreen monitor with 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and 16:9 image aspect ratio that offers great viewing experience of very clear and sharp images, great color consistency and precision on IPS panel with a very wide range 178 degree viewing angles and 2 million:1 dynamic contrast ratio and you’ll get very decent picture quality, uniform lighting directly when you take it out of the box without needing to calibrate any settings as each monitor is tuned at 99% serge.

Dell UltraSharp weighs 21.6 pounds (panel is 4.4 kg only for VESA mount) and measures 25.8 x 9.8 x 16.6 inches- looks good with a slim modern design and the amazing stand lets you adjust the height and position with swivel, pivot and tilt functions- you can even rotate it 90 degrees clockwise and counter-clockwise and can be wall mounted (100mm VESA mount compatible) and you can attach it to the Dell Single Monitor Arm. Stand is probably the best we have seen on any monitor so far, it goes in its place easily or you can use the holes behind it for mounting on a wall. It doesn’t look like a 25 inch monitor in total size due to its thin bezels- not much bigger than a 23 inch Dell monitor but significantly smaller than a 27 inch iMac. It supports two or more monitors at once so you can set-up multiple displays. Screen has very decent anti-glare surface coating with 3H and it is neither glossy nor matte- something in between and better than both. It has the Easy Arrange option that lets you customise the display layout and have all your apps set-up next to each other.

It offers easy and convenient connections to your computer and peripherals: 2 x HDMI (MHL) ports, a Display port version 1.2, a DisplayPort out (MST) a miniDisplay port that is rarely found on these type of monitors, an Audio Line out and USB3.0 Hi-Speed Hub of 5  x USB 3.0 ports- downstream (1 with high speed battery charging and 4 at the rear) and a USB 3.0 port- upstream, although the location is not great for easy accessibility but still good to have. Picture quality is outstanding with superior clarity, great colour reproduction as it covers 99% of sRGB colour spectrum, 178 degree viewing angles of IPS panel, with brightness at 350 cd/m2 (minimum of 50 cd/m2). Texts and everything else look much sharper than on Full HD display. There is a bit of light bleeding around the display, for example you can see white backlight coming through and black also can look like dark grey and this is a common thing of LED backlit or IPS panels in general. It has five buttons underneath and a very simple to use on-screen menu. You’ll get to presets with the first button: Standard, multimedia, movie, game, paper, color temp, custom colour, second one is for input source selection, third one is the main menu where you can adjust brightness, contrast, colours, energy use and so on.

Dell UltraSharp U2515H 25 inch QHD LED MonitorDell U2515H’s capacitive touch buttons are not illuminated and can be hard to see in the dark and power button apparently doesn’t respond very well and this is a common problem of most Dell monitors. Gaming capabilities are really good and it seems to work very well and is a great choice for gaming and without even needing to enable the quick response time on the menu but it helps with the frames per second- definitely suitable for casual gamers but not sure if you need super high response times. The unit seems to get very positive reviews from customers and experts online and for the price it would have to be one of the best on the market in terms of image quality, functionality, durability- build quality and overall design. You probably need a newer system and graphics card to be able to drive the high resolution on this display. It is built with environmentally friendly materials (mercury-free LED panel and arsenic-free glass), is an EPEAT Gold rated and Energy Star qualified unit (has Enhanced Power Management with PowerNap and being a pixel perfect screen, it is offered with the Dell Premium Panel Guarantee and if you can find even a single bright pixel on screen the unit will be replaced by Dell- 3 years of Advanced Exchange Service and limited hardware warranty.
