2016 Lenovo Thinkpad Premium 11e 11.6 inch Ultra-Durable Laptop with AMD A4-6210 Processor Review

11.6″ 2016 Lenovo Thinkpad 11e Laptop

2016 Newest Lenovo Thinkpad Premium 11.6-inch Ultra-Durable Laptop

2016 model 11.6 inch Lenovo Thinkpad is a premium- well built and solid laptop with a tough and rugged construction, low to mid range specs and a low price. The AMD A series A4-6210 processor (2MB Cache) at 1.8GHz is not the most powerful despite being a modern quad core processor but capable enough for performing your ordinary day-to-day tasks. 4GB DDR3L SDRAM at 1600MHz is sufficient at this level and will let you multitask with ease- open a few browsers and apps at once (can be upgraded up to a maximum of 8GB) and it includes a 120GB Solid State Drive rather than a slower mechanical drive and the most recent 64-bit Windows 10 Professional operating system. It has an 11.6 inch LED-backlit anti-glare high definition non-touch display with16:9 image aspect ratio and 1366x 768 pixel resolution for clear enough visuals- there won’t be much of visible pixels on this size screen and the integrated AMD Radeon R3 graphics is good enough for daily graphics- is equal to Intel HD 4000 or Radeon HD 8400 in performance, so it is quite basic and you will not play any of the modern games even at low settings. This Thinkpad does not include a DVD Optical drive but the faster and wider coverage 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit LAN Ethernet and RJ-45 connector, an HDMI output, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port and 4 in 1 Memory Card Reader. 720p high definition webcam is good for live chats or still photos and also has stereo speakers and microphone for multimedia.

2016 Newest Lenovo Thinkpad Premium 11e Ultra-Durable Laptop

Lenovo Thinkpad has a rubber bumper around the top lid to absorb and bumps to the sides, corners are much stronger for when the laptop is dropped at an angle, has a thicker bezel for LED display protection, reinforced ports and stronger brackets and hinges and the durable build quality is tested according to military specification with eight different parameters of temperature shock, vibration, low temperature, high temperature, low pressure of 15,000 feet, dust, humidity, high pressure, and is approved for quality, toughness and quality. It includes a 4-cell 35 Wh lithium polymer battery that lasts up to 6.6 hours on average use, which is pretty good and you should get up to 5 to 6 hours easily in practice as the Thermal Design Power- TDP for the processor is 15 watts. Technical specs may not seem very strong on paper with the April 2014 release AMD A4 processor with a Passmark benchmark score of 2109 and 4GB memory but this is one heck of a sturdy laptop, durability is the main focus here and comes with the Professional version of Windows 10 that also helps the computer boot up fast. It weighs 3.28 pounds with measurements of 11.8 x 0.9 x 8.5 inches so it is quite easy to carry around and is suitable for students or business people that are out and about a lot and that don’t require a lot of power but good for Word and Excel, internet surfing, viewing photos or watching videos and other multimedia stuff and offers good value for money for budget conscious customers- compact, lightweight and if you need more power you will need to spend a bit more.
