ASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 (UX482EAR-DB71T) is a high end laptop with the Intel Evo platform, i7-1195G7 processor, 512GB PCIe Solid State Drive, 8GB DDR4 SDRAM memory, Windows 10 Home operating system, Screen Pad Plus, and modern connectivity options including the WiFi 6E. August 31, 2021 is the date it was first available at Amazon.com and it has an average user rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars by 55 customers at the time of this post release.

You have the option to purchase the same computer with an Intel i7-1165G7 processor at about 130 dollars more at the time of this review. Both options offer plenty of speed and power for both your daily and very demanding tasks including media editing. The 11th generation quarter 2 of 2021 release quad core Intel i7-1195G7 processor (12M cache, 4 cores, 8 threads with the hyperthreading) works at the speeds between 2.90Ghz and 5.0GHz with the turbo boost function. Intel Evo Platform offers a great combination speed, responsiveness and long battery. The average CPU Passmark benchmark score is 11835 at the time of this post release. The typical TDP- Thermal Design Power is 28 watts for the i7-1195G7 processor. 

512GB PCIe Solid State Drive offers a large local storage space for all your files including multimedia- photos, videos and music. And it is up to 30 times faster than the traditional SATA HDD hard drives. 8GB LPDDR4X memory at 3200MHz is not a very large amount of memory for those in need of very high multitasking power. But it will be adequate for many users’ day-to-day needs as long as they don’t have too many browser tabs and apps open at the same time. It supports up to 32GB LPDDR4X  of high bandwidth memoy at 4267MHz. Windows 10 Home 64-bit operating system is pre-installed on this Zenbook Duo and qualifies for a free upgrade to Windows 11, which has an even better user interface with the round edges of browsers etc. that remind us of Mac OS.

14-inch Full HD four-sided NanoEdge touchscreen glossy main display has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, good contrast, vibrant colors, 400 nits of brightness and IPS panel with almost 180-degree viewing angles both horizontally and vertically. It has the super slim bezels for offering you a great 93% screen-to-body ratio. The touchscreen on this Asus computer comes with the Stylus support. Intel Iris Xe is the built-in graphics card with an average G3D videocard benchmark score of 2824, which isASUS ZenBook Duo 14 UX482 14” FHD Touch Display quite high for an integrated card and is roughly about the same as the NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPU. You can play some of the latest games at low to medium settings and resolutions and all the older, not demanding titles at higher settings.

Please note that both the memory and storage can be upgraded internally on this machine. Zenbook Duo is designed for personal, home, student or business use and offers good value for the dollar.
