Vizio E43-C2 is a 43 inch Full HD Smart LED HDTV as part of the all-new 2015 budget/low cost redesigned E series with full-array LED backlighting (E stands for entry level), higher contrast levels, deeper and darker blacks, decent video processing, 16:9 cinematic image aspect ratio, 120 Hz effective refresh rate for greatly reduced motion blur, up to 178 degree horizontal and vertical viewing angles, integrated wireless and Internet Apps Plus and most importantly amazing picture quality at this price level, so these E series televisions continue to be great value for money.
Vizio E43-C2 is exactly 43 inches measured diagonally, weighs 18.3 pounds and measures 38.2 x 8.3 x 24.6 inches, has a very thin bezel and a slim body, has a new, modern and stylish but simplistic E series signature design but this TV stands out more with its image quality and motion blur performance. Due to its size and design it would be suitable for the main living room and other rooms of your house. It comes with proper Smart TV functionality that is fast and easy to use with the Internet Apps Plus that allows you to watch your favourite shows, songs and lots of useful and current apps straight from the web to the TV screen and with the hassle-free integrated wireless you will be able to connect to Internet Apps Plus easily and conveniently and you can choose from apps like Amazon Instant Video, Hulu Plus, Netflix, YouTube, Spotify, Netflix and iHeartRadio.
Smart interface is rather simple to use but you will need high speed broadband or internet connection and subscription of apps is required but not directly provided by Vizio and this is not a 3D TV which would be impossible at the price level. For connectivity you will find 3 x HDMI ports to connect to your peripherals and a USB multimedia port to view photos, play songs and videos on large screen, Ethernet port, Component and Composite, Tuner, Analog and Digital Audio Out. Full-array LED backlighting means the little LED lights are distributed evenly across behind the whole display offering uniformity of light and better image performance of Full HD 1080p resolution with more pixels per inch and with 5 active LED zones the backlighting is adjusted dynamically for each zone and this results in much better contrast of 2 million to 1 contrast ratio, vibrant details and darker and deeper plasma-like blacks and whiter whites and better color consistency.
VIZIO E43-C2‘s refresh rate is not 60Hz but 120Hz and this translates into Clear Action rate of 240 so you get even much less motion blur, sharper and improved details in action movies and sports with the better picture processing of the improved faster processor, which is great news for fans of action and sports. Overall the TV works great and the best thing about it is the picture quality and performance in both dark and bright rooms- the additional features are only added bonuses at this low price level. Sound quality is OK via the DTS StudioSound, DTS TruVolume and the 2 x 10 watt speakers and you can always upgrade the sound with a Vizio sound bar. Remote controller is not the best quality with the buttons close to each other and a simple layout which also makes it easy to use and on-screen menu is quite functional too with language options of English, Spanish and French. It is an Energy Star 6.1 qualified TV with a standby power consumption of less than 1 watt and 27.43 watts when on and has an Ambient Light sensor, so is much more power efficient than similar TV’s in its class, partly due to the LED backlighting.
