TriVision NC-335PW comes in great quality rust-proof metal casing (feels very solid, tough and well built), has an adjustable stand and is easily mountable on a wall, weighs only 2.2 pounds and has the measurements of 7.5 x 2.8 x 2.8 inches. It is quite simple to set up even if you are not a tech savvy with only three screws for mounting it on a wall and will be ready to go live- you can launch your remote viewing in just minutes on your computer (Apple or PC) with Camera Live software, iPhone or Android smart phone, iPad or other tablets with the easy plug and play apps like Anyscene app via Google Play or iPhone App Store online, view and play it wherever and whenever and there will no monthly subscription fees involved. The quality of image at 1920 x 1080 high definition is not distorted while the coverage is expanded through day and infra-red night vision. Picture is crystal clear overall with beautiful vibrant colours and when it is dark it switches to infrared night vision automatically without you having to select anything manually and although the image clarity is great it is better during the day.
You can record it straight onto local storage- a microSD card that is sold separately and up to 128GB is supported. You can set the unit to record when only motion is detected with the multiple zone motion detection sensor to save on storage and viewing time or to record continuously and view it remotely from any smart phone, tablet or computer- Windows, Android and Apple devices. You can be notified via email alerts or push notifications to your smart phone whenever a major motion is detected so you know what’s going on around your house when you’re away and start viewing it while it is also being recorded on the microSD memory card or FTP, NAS, NVR drive and you can respond or take action immediately. It is an easy three step installation: After you download the Anyscene app on your smart phone, you add the camera by clicking where indicated on screen and entering ID and password then when the online status appears you can start viewing live remotely without needing DDNS setup or port forwarding.
It is a highly customisable camera but the user name and password are admin and admin. TriVision officially supports between -4 and +140 degrees Fahrenheit like with all commercial electronics products. It will obviously get below -4 during winter nights in some states but as long as you keep the camera on all the time, self heating will keep it above -4 easily but if it goes down to -40 or -50 or if you will be turning it on and off then you’re out of luck. There is also the more expensive larger TriVision 336w model with more stability in low and high temp, enhanced night vision and two-way audio. It is offered with flexible connection: Either via PoE- Power Over Ethernet to the router or the included 12 volt power supply- AC/DC power adapter and supports network installation set-ups like 802.11bgn wireless, manual setup and DHCP but not 802.11ac wireless. It averages 4.8/5 out of 22 customer ratings on the day of this review with mostly very positive 5 star reviews and we found it hard to find much wrong with it- definitely one of the best for the price.
