SMETA SDW-30-2, 30L Compact Absorption Fridge
SMETA SDW-30-2 is a 30 liter, 1.0 cubic feet capacity compact electric absorption fridge, beverage, and snack cooler. It is a decent quality product with a solid construction, that was first designed for commercial use.
It weighs 35 pounds and measures 15.7 x 16.5 x 19.7 inches- is quite small in size and portable. So you can comfortably use it in your home kitchen, especially if you don’t have enough space for a larger fridge, in bars, hotel rooms, hospital rooms, trucks, cars, and camping.
SMETA Compact Fridge doesn’t have Freon, which is an aerosol propellant and refrigerant that is made up of chlorofluorocarbons and other compounds. So it doesn’t cause pollution or any damage to the ozone layer or the environment. It makes hardly any noise when it is running as it doesn’t include a compressor that does cycles or fans like in other regular coolers.
It is designed for high efficiency, consumes very little energy- approximately 0.7 kilowatts per hour and will help you save money over time. The door is made of solid plastic, the hinge is reversible, that means you can open it from the right or left. It can be used as a countertop or stand alone cooling unit, thanks to its attractive appearance. You will find the adjustable feet underneath which will come in handy if you will be putting the fridge on not so even floors.
Automatic defrost makes things easier for you as you do not have to do defrosting manually at regular intervals. It has an adjustable thermostat, the temperature range is between 32 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit and seems to stay at the temperature you set it to consistently. The 30-liter capacity is more like 29 liters (a little over 1 cubic feet), to be more precise. It has a 65 watts of input power and the AC 110V and DC 12V voltage.
There is LED lighting inside for you to see the contents of the fridge clearly in the dark or dim light. The interior light can not be turned on in the DC12V mode and you can only control it in the AC110V mode.You will get the black and white 12V cords in the box and you may connect them directly to your cigarette lighter in the car. Please note that there is no positive or negative difference between the white and black wires.
