Samsung JS7000 Series 4K Smart LED TV via Amazon
Samsung UN55JS7000 is a great 2015 model modern 55 inch 4K UHD LED-backlit smart TV as part of the new JS7000 series with an integrated wireless, effective 120CMR refresh rate offering reduced motion blur in fast moving stuff like sports and action movies- input lag is 27.4 m/sec, impressive picture quality and wide viewing angles. Samsung UN50JS7000 is quite nice and modern to look at, is 35 pounds- not very heavy, measures 44.4 x 12.2 x 28.3 inches with stand and 44.4 x 2.5 x 25.8 with stand, has small bezels and thin frames. Picture quality is very high- visuals are great overall, you’ll experience more vibrant colors (darker darks and whiter whites), decent contrast and better brightness as it is a LED backlit 4K TV with Ultra HD resolution with Nano-crystal technology. There is not a lot of 4K content out there yet but it has the 4K UHD upscaling and everything will look better and with improved contrast there will be a different sense of depth- it will be all realistic and true to life. High definition movies look especially good but we’re not sure about the low resolution stuff upscaled. It offers a wide color gamut and decent color accuracy at whatever angle you’re positioned to TV. Being a Smart TV it has smart features and integrated wireless internet with a quad core processor for internet surfing and you will have an easy to manage intuitive interface with direct access to apps and streaming content and feels quite fast and responsive.
It feels pretty much like a plug and play unit, is easy to set up with instructions on the screen and is synchronised with Playstation 3 and you can control your PS3 via the TV remote. You simply press the Smart Hub button on its standard remote and have access to Netflix, HuluPlus and YouTube along with other apps. Wireless installation and app downloading are also easy as long as you have a decent internet connection. Game mode works wonderfully with only about 27.4ms lag. Contrast is slightly better on JS8500 and higher models but shouldn’t be a major problem considering the lower price point and all that you’re getting for it and another thing is when you turn the volume up the sound is not super impressive, which is mostly the case on most HDTV’s and you may need a soundbar if you are picky about your sound. Although it is the lowest end of Samsung SUHD TV’s the price to picture quality and features are better than competitors and you’re getting the reliability of Samsung products (one of the major TV brands in the world) without the very high price tag of Sony, we’re glad that Samsung is offering 4K technology at more affordable prices with the JS7000 series.
