Piano black RCA LED32G30RQD is a 32 inch (31.5 inch exact- measured diagonally from corner to corner) high definition rear-lit LED TV with an integrated DVD player with 1366×768 pixel resolution and 60Hz refresh rate. It has a great sleek design and helps save on space if it is an issue at your place by also helping you avoid cable clutter as you won’t need to connect cables for TV and DVD separately, won’t need to set up anything extra and you will use a single remote for both- not two.
When you put a DVD into the DVD player, it will be recognised automatically and start, DVD/SVCD/VCD/CD/MP3/JPEG as signal source for DVD. Picture quality is good- nice and clear, crisp and detailed with 3D comb filter, 220cd/㎡,16:9 widescreen ratio and 5000:1 dynamic contrast with enhanced details in bright or dark scenes, a great range of shades between black and white for improved vibrant images, 176 degree viewing angles, 16.7M display color. It offers decent image quality even outdoors where there is heaps more glare. It comes with 2 HDMI inputs, 1 USB input (JPG/WAV/MPG), Component Rear input x 3, Digital audio output, Headphone output. Other handy features include parental control options and sleep timer, digital noise reduction, closed captioning compatibility, ATSC/NTSC digital and analog tuner and MTS/SAP stereo.
RCA TV/DVD Combo weighs 12.8 pounds (lightweight- easy to be carried around) and measures 28.9 x 17.4 x 3.2 inches. It can be used just as a good quality HDTV, computer monitor, gaming screen or for watching DVDs. It comes with 2 x 8W speakers but the sound quality is not super impressive so you may want to connect a sound bar or a home theatre system. It has five picture modes- Standard/Movie/User/Dynamic/Power Saving and four sound modes- Standard/Soft/User/Dynamic. Refresh rate is 60Hz but seems to do well in fast motion and action stuff in practice, with the 7ms response time. OSD menu language options are English, French and Spanish.
One of the cons according to a customer is inconvenience and the small size of the remote control buttons. It is very easy to set-up even if you’re technically challenged and you can start watching TV or DVD within 5-10 minutes- the stand is also easy to attach, is suitable for use in medium size rooms, your bedroom or even living room depending on the size of your flat- the TV/DVD Combo set looks good and will be especially good for limited areas. You may choose to mount it on a wall as it is VESA 200mm x 100mm compliant or yo can just put it on its stand provided- feels stable. Otherwise it comes with nice features, is easy to run and change formats. The price is fair as also you won’t need to get a separate DVD player and it comes with a 12 month limited warranty.
