Nextbook NXW10QC32G Detachable 2-in-1 Tablet

Nextbook NXW10QC32G 10.1 2-in-1 Tablet

Nextbook NXW10QC32G is a budget 10.1 inch Windows 8.1 tablet with a detachable Pogo keyboard by E-Fun Inc. It is priced very competitively for what it offers as a large tablet- sure it is not a Surface Pro with an Intel i5 CPU and is more of an entry level features machine but you’re getting a quad core Intel processor, full Windows 8.1 operating system and a solid keyboard with a functional touchpad so you can do what you do on an entry level laptop, ample storage space on flash memory flash, via SD card slot and Cloud based OneDrive and 12 month subscription to Microsoft Office 2013.

Nextbook 10.1 comes with the quad core Intel Atom Z3735G (2MB cache) at 1.33 to 1.83 Ghz speed for basic daily tasks like internet surfing and video streaming, 1GB DDR3L memory that may limit your ability to multitask efficiently but you can still open a few browsers and a couple of apps at once, 32 GB flash memory (OS takes up 4 GB so you have 28 GB left but still plenty for a tablet) plus up to 64 GB via the integrated microSD card slot and Windows 8.1 operating system. It is a great system overall that is easy to set-up, that works fast and the battery seems to last long as the Atom Z3735G has a TDP of 4 watts.

10.1 inch touchscreen with a regular 1280 x 800 pixel resolution but IPS panel with wider viewing angles offers decent picture quality when you’re viewing photos, watching movies or playing games. It has a 2 MP resolution rear webcam + a 0.3 MP front webcam and the speakers are OK- don’t expect too much but they will do the job. Strong and well-built matte black plastic Nextbook weighs less than 3 pounds as a sleek and lightweight tablet so you can take it wherever you go. Battery life is up to 10 hours from its 6000mAh internal rechargeable battery. You have the 802.11bgn wireless and Bluetooth 4.0, a microHDMI port, headphone/microphone combo and a Micro SD card slot that supports up to 64GB as connectivity options. This being a Windows machine you can use Skype to have live chats with friends and family comfortably.

Conclusion: Nextbook NXW10QC32G is a fast 2-in-1 style 10 inch IPS display tablet with a functional detachable hard-shell POGO keyboard and touchpad (you can even fold the tablet onto the keyboard just like a small and slim laptop) and a quad core Intel Atom processor that will help your perform your daily tasks, by typing, clicking and touching. To be able to use the 1-year subscription for Office 365 Personal Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the rest, you need to activate it within 6 months of Windows activation. On this tablet you can do pretty much anything you do on an entry-level Windows laptop- work and play and you can find a great variety of apps in Windows Store and it supports all the third party software and apps that Windows computers do, including Flash and iTunes and as long as you’re not intending to edit multimedia or play advanced games- anything very demanding or graphics intensive, then you’ll be fine. Despite having only 1 GB of memory, it seems to handle multitasking just fine for simple tasks as long as you don’t try and open 20 things simultaneously. So yes, it is an overall great value for money tablet with a keyboard.
