Sound is good but you can never go wrong with an appropriate sound bar or home theatre system but as far as the HDTV sounds go this one is quite all right. TV itself is very easy to set-up and the picture quality is more than satisfactory. It is an Energy Star qualified TV meaning it is more than 25% more energy efficient than regular models. It doesn’t have smart functionality but is great for gaming- you can connect your Play Station through one of the HDMI ports. Picture and colours feel realistic and natural, LG is definitely one of the best brands for TV’s and this one certainly has a fair price for a 49 inch FHL LED-backlit LG TV so price may be the first reason for considering it but although it is not a Smart, 3D or 4K type of TV it is a great all rounder with very modern slim design, offering ease of use, good connectivity and most importantly better image quality of deeper and darker blacks and rich colours and quite OK sound with the 2 channel 10 watt speakers, Clear Voice technology and Dolby Digital Surround Sound Decoder.
