LG Electronics 42LF5600 42 inch FHD LED TV

LG Electronics 42LF5600 is a late 2014 release basic 42 inch Full HD LED backlit TV with 1080p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate (LG’s Motion Clarity Index of 120) offering bright, sharp and clear image as it is capable of displaying 1080 progressive lines of resolution for clarity and very fine details but doesn’t come with smart or 3D features if you think you need them. It is offered with a 1 year limited parts and labor warranty by LG Electronics with 57 years of history and quite a lot of technological expertise in home appliances, mobile devices and digital televisions as one of the top TV manufacturers and one of the best brands in the world.

LG 42LF5600 weighs 20.3 lbs and measures 37.8 x 22.3 x 2.2 inches without stand (20.9lbs and 37.8 x 24 x 8.6 inches with stand)- is a nice looking TV with a simplistic yet modern design, slim profile and thin bezels with the 2.2 inch slim profile made possible by LED’s very small, light producing diodes also offering superior picture than the CCFL technology and helps this TV be Energy Star qualified with more than 25% power efficiency than standard models consuming 0.3 watts of electricity in standby mode and 90 watts when switched on with an estimated annual energy cost of 8 dollars. It has 2 x HDMI ports- one on the side and one at the rear to hook up your modern game consoles, laptops or Blu-ray players via a single HDMI cable for video and sound, 1 x USB 2.0 port to play your photos, songs or videos in JPEG, MP3 and DivX HD formats, 1 RF, 1 x Component, 1 x Composite, 1 x Digital Audio Out and an RS232 as connectivity options.

LG 42LF5600 1080p 60Hz LED TVPicture quality is really good for the price (LED backlit, Full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixel native resolution and has Triple XD Engine feature- deep color contrast) and sound is quite all right through the 2 x 10 watt built-in speakers, Dolby Digital Decoder and Clear Voice II technology but you may be better off connecting a sound bar or a home theatre system. With 60 Hz refresh rate motion enhancement technology it seems to be quite comfortable to watch the fast action stuff like action movies and sports and there seems to be none to very little motion blur. LG TV has a sleek and stylish design and is easy on the eyes, remote and the TV itself are simple to use with on-screen menu, comes with decent set of settings and functionality that are easily accessible and is offered at a very reasonable price despite being an LG. If you are not after integrated wireless, 3D or Smart TV functions but happy with a good quality but simple Full HD TV with decent picture and sound, then it is a good TV to consider.
