Lenovo ThinkCentre A70Z 19″ All-In-One Desktop Review

19″ Lenovo ThinkCentre A70Z All-In-One Desktop

Lenovo ThinkCentre A70Z 19 All-In-One Desktop

Lenovo ThinkCentre A70Z is an older style 19-inch All-in-One desktop computer with a solid and sturdy commercial-grade build, a minimalistic design with just the Power button visible, a reliable entry level performance and a very attractive price tag. The main processor is the quarter 3 of 2010 release dual-core Intel Pentium E5700 (2M cache) at a 3.0GHz fixed speed without turbo boost or hyperthreading (2 cores and 2 threads) and a current benchmark score of 1744. Storage is mechanical SATA hard drive, not SSD but is very spacious with a 2TB space for your music, photos, and videos and the memory is 4GB which is not a lot but certainly adequate at this entry level. The 64-bit Windows 10 Home operating system includes some familiar and brand new features that make is quite user-friendly and fun to use- Win 7 Start screen and menu, Cortona Personal Assistant, Microsoft Edge browser, great integrated apps and much quicker start-ups than before (also resumes faster), despite the lack of SSD. The main reason for such a low price is this AIO desktop is certified and refurbished by an authorized seller with a 90-day warranty rather than one year, but with all the original accessories included in the package and no or very limited signs of wear and tear. The screen is a bit thick as you can see in the photos but the unit still has a modern industrial design with the elegant curves.

19 inch WXGA+ LCD display with 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio and 1440 x 900-pixel resolution offers clear enough image quality with decent colors and contrast. This is a TN panel, not IPs but the viewing angles are fine vertically and there is the integrated Intel HD graphics for basic games and daily multimedia. The two speakers are located in the horizontal strip underneath the screen. It comes with a slim tray DVD drive on the left-hand side of the display that reads CDs and DVDs in different formats if you wish to play games or run software from DVDs. It also has the 802.11bgn wireless and Gigabit Ethernet as well as 7 x USB ports and Analog audio out and microphone in, a Serial port, a Kensington lock slot and a webcam on the top bezel. The screen stands vertically on a silver locking stand and the black rubber stops the sliding of the stand and display. You can comfortably run your Office apps and basic games, watch movies, browse the internet with the E5700 processor but for anything demanding you need something more powerful. A wired keyboard and mouse combo are included in the package and everything is pretty much included in the display and although this is an older model you’re getting a good deal for its robust commercial grade build, monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as well as a well-functioning daily things computer, as long as you do not have very high expectations.
