Lenovo IdeaPad Y700 14 inch Full HD

Lenovo IdeaPad Y700 is a 2016 model 14 inch FHD touchscreen gaming laptop with high end technical specs and features including a backlit keyboard, a dedicated Radeon R9 M375 graphics card, a Skylake i7 processor and a variety of modern connectivity options. This is a mid-range portable gaming machine that will please you with its superior overall performance and mid-range gaming with a good price tag. It comes with the sixth generation quad core Intel i7-6700HQ processor (6MB cache) at 2.6GHz – 3.5GHz speed with turbo boost and hyper threading (4 cores and 8 threads), 8GB DDR4 memory at 2133Mhz that can be upgraded up to 32GB (if you’ll need that much at all), 1TB SATA HDD at 5400rpm speed + 128GB SSD hybrid drive for both size and snappy performance and Windows 10 64-bit operating system. 14 inch anti-glare Full HD touch display with IPS panel has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, very wide viewing angles and 16:9 image aspect ratio so you’ll have no problems with the picture quality no matter what you’re doing. AMD Radeon R9 M375 is a higher mid-range graphics card with a 4GB graphics memory to itself and you’ll be able to run the most demanding games at medium settings and resolutions and good frame rates per second and when you’re not gaming, the system will switch to the integrated Intel HD 530 that is around 20% faster than the older Intel HD 4600 for energy saving. But the Radeon card also has energy saving features like PowerGating that reduces parts of the chip which are not being used and ZeroCore that makes it consume less energy when screen is not on.

Ebony Black Carbon Fiber Lenovo Y700 weighs 4.8 pounds and measures 13.78 x 10.2 x 1.02 inches- fairly slim and lightweight for portability and power on-the-go. It doesn’t have a DVD Optical Drive but 802.11ac (Intel 3165) wireless, the latest Bluetooth 4.1, an HDMI output, 100/1000M WLAN Ethernet, Kensington security lock, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port with Always-on Charging, 4-in-1 Media Card Reader that supports SD, SDHC, SDXC and MMC, 2-in-1 Combo Audio Jack and 135 watt power adapter. It has a 720p high definition camera with dual array microphone on the top bezel for both Skype chats and taking photos. Sound is also more than satisfactory through the Dolby Home Theater and 2 x 2 watt JBL speakers. 45WH 3-cell lithium polymer battery is reported to last up to 5 hours in regular video streaming or similar tasks but you can’t really expect more than 2-3 hours in heavy gaming. Keyboard is backlit, doesn’t have 10-key numeric pad on the side but a responsive ClickPad pointing device without the divided left and right click buttons. The display has rather thick bezels- they could be a bit thinner but the computer itself is slim and lightweight overall despite having powerful specs and a Full HD touch display. Intel i7-6700HQ has a Passmark benchmark score of over 8000 at the moment and Thermal Design Power of 45 watts and is a very fast and powerful processor that can handle pretty much anything you throw at it- super multitasking and the toughest applications. Overall this is a great looking gaming machine that feels good quality, is rather portable and offers decent performance for whatever you wish to do on a daily basis.
