Black Lenovo Ideapad 300 is a 2016 model 17.3 inch laptop for your day-to-day and more complex tasks with high end specs and features like an ultra low voltage dual core Intel i7-6500U processor (4MB L3 cache) with a Passmark benchmark score of 4338 and at 2.5GHz speed up to a max speed of 3.1GHz with turbo boost and hyper threading for two cores to handle four threads in parallel, very generous 16GB DDRL SDRAM at 1600Mhz to run very heavy applications and handling a great deal of workload simultaneously, spacious 1TB Serial ATA storage at 5400rpm rotating speed if you tend to save a lot of photos or videos and the latest 64-bit Windows 10 operating system. Large 17.3 inch WLED backlit HD+ widescreen has the 1600 x 900 pixel resolution and 16:9 image aspect ratio, but still decent with crisp and bright visuals although not as good as Full HD and you really wouldn’t want less than HD+ resolution on a 17 inch computer. Graphics card is the built-in Intel HD 520 for reasonable multimedia performance and light gaming and includes a good quality HD webcam for chatting live on Skype. Non-backlit Lenovo AccuType keyboard is comfy and ergonomic, feels smooth and spacious for typing with less errors, comes with a 10-key numeric pad and a functional touchpad.
Black Ideapad 300-2016 weighs 6.4 pounds with measurements of 16.5 x 11.1 x 1.1 inches- average weight, size and thickness and should be considered more as a desktop replacement rather than a portable laptop that you can take anywhere. For connectivity it comes with a DVD-RW drive that writes to DVDs and CDs, 802.11AC WiFi for better wireless internet access, Bluetooth 4.0, Ethernet with RJ-45 connector, a USB 3.0 port for faster data transfer, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output to view your stuff on even larger screen like your LED TV, a Media Card Reader, Headphone/Microphone Jack combo, a VGA output. Processor has a Thermal Design Power- TDP of 15 watts and you can get up to 6 hours of battery life from its 4-cell lithium ion battery on average- video streaming or internet browsing at lower screen brightness. Dolby Advanced Audio Processing and dual 2 x 1.5W stereo speakers offer reasonable sound for your music, movies or games and help with a better overall entertainment experience but this is not really a gaming machine as it only includes the integrated Intel HD 520 GPU with a performance similar to NVIDIA GeForce 820M which will still let you play some of the newer game titles but only at low settings. This is a good laptop for those that like a larger screen and we like the fast, powerful and energy efficient Intel i7-6500U processor, very large amounts of memory and storage even if at 5400rpm speed (you can always swap it with an SSD) and all the connectivity ports you may need for daily tasks.
