Black Lenovo Flex 3 80LY0008US is a modern 2-in-1 mini convertible and versatile laptop with a 360 degree hinge design for convenient laptop or tablet modes, a high definition capacitive 10-point multitouch display, basic performance of dual core Braswell Intel Celeron N3050 processor (2MB cache) at 1.6GHz to 2.16GHz speed, standard size 4GB DDR3L SDRAM memory at 1600MHz for some multitasking power- adequate for most average daily computing, also standard size 500GB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400rpm for saving plenty of files but at somewhat slow rotating speed and the latest Windows 10 operating system already installed. Energy efficient and low cost Celeron N3050 processor with a Passmark benchmark score of around 900 is good for basic daily home and office tasks like word processing, spreadsheets, internet surfing, photo viewing, video playing (even some editing work) and light gaming; use it for your usual computing tasks like typing up documents or editing media in laptop mode and watch movies in tablet mode. Black Lenovo Flex 3 11 has a solid plastic chassis, weighs a little over 3 pounds and is less than 0.9 inch thick (exact measurements of 8.23 x 1.77 x 0.86 inches and weight of 3.1 pounds).
It has no Optical Drive and no Ethernet but a fast connection and large coverage 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output, a multi-format Media Card Reader, a combo Headphone and Microphone audio jack. Non-backlit keyboard is spacious with nicely spaced out keys but no numeric keypad due to size restrictions and a large and responsive multitouch trackpad. We haven’t tested the unit but the 30 WHr battery life is claimed to be up to 5 hours in average use on a single charge by Lenovo. 11.6 inch bright HD capacitive touch display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution offers different viewing modes and TN panel rather than IPS so you’ll experience not so large viewing angles, has a high definition 720p webcam with an integrated microphone for casual chats on Skype and includes the Voice assistance software. Integrated Intel HD graphics with shared memory is OK for regular multimedia and only for light gaming- older titles as it will struggle with the newer demanding titles and stereo speakers for acceptable sound quality at this level. There is no FHD resolution and no IPS panel on this computer although IPS would be good for larger viewing angles in tablet mode and your alternatives would be Dell Inspiron or HP Pavilion 11 x360 which you can get to through the links on this page and Amazon product page.
