Graphite grey Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 (82B80006UX) is 2-in-1 convertible, slim and lightweight laptop with a 13-inch Full HD touchscreen, the entry level to mid range technical specs of the quarter 4 of 2019 release Intel i3-10110U processor, 64GB eMMC Solid State Drive, 4GB DDR4 memory, Chrome operating system, full-backlit keyboard, up to 10 hours of battery life and decent connectivity options.

As a fairly recent, number one new release 2-in-1 Chromebook laptop, it has an average customer rating of 4.3 out of 5 stars by 7 users. It is a multi-functional and versatile laptop that can be used for a variety of purposes including home entertainment, school stuff and working from home. Overall the performance is good enough with the ultra low voltage 10th generation dual core Intel i3-10110U processor, high bandwidth 4GB memory and eMMC SSD even though the RAM and storage capacity are not very high.

The Intel i3-10110U works on two cores and four threads, at a base speed of 2.1GHz speed up to 4.1GHz with the turbo boost function. It has a current Passmark benchmark score of 4238 for an acceptable mid-range performance and some multitasking power. And the typical Thermal Design Power- TDP is 15 watts for an enhanced all day battery life of around 10 hours especially for when you’re out and about. You only have 64GB of storage on this Lenovo Chromebook but you can access your documents and multimedia files on the Cloud. 4GB DDR4 memory is OK amount for multitasking on Chrome OS and will be fine in the most daily applications.

Chrome OS interface feels intuitive and responsive over different tasks for work and entertainment. It gives you access to thousands of apps on GooglePlay and Google Maps wallpapers. The backlit keyboard has a 1.4mm key travel distance and the keys feel comfortable and having the responsive touchpad and touchscreen make it feel more interactive. You can also purchase the Lenovo digital pen to click, write, draw, drag or Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5, 82B80006UXwhatever you want to do and it will all feel much easier than touching the screen with your finger. Graphite grey Lenovo Chromebook Flex 5 weighs 2.97 pounds and measures 12.2 x 8.43 x 0.67 inches.

The 13″ anti-glare Full HD touchscreen display with the IPS panel and narrow bezels has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and no distortion when viewed at larger angles. It rotates 360 degrees around the sturdy hinge to be used in laptop, tent, stand and tablet modes. The sound quality through the two user-facing stereo speakers is not bad on this Chromebook and adds to the immersive experience on this laptop. The built-in Intel UHD 620 graphics card is very similar to the HD 620 and HD630 and can be positioned between the entry level GeForce 910M and 920M dedicated graphics cards. With a videocard benchmark score of just 927 it will let you play the easy casual games like the Farming Simulator 17 or Rocket League.

The maximum video output through the USB-C 3.1 port is 2048 x 1152 pixels. And the other USB-C port is for power delivery. For connectivity you have the latest WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-A port, 2 x USB Type-C ports, and a headphone audio jack. This model comes with an internal fan for cooling and works generally quietly unless pushed to the limit with the power hungry apps. If you want to use a Stylus pen with this laptop, your best option is either the Lenovo Active Pen 1 or the Active Pen 2. You can’t upgrade the 4GB RAM or the 64GB eMMC flash storage on this machine as they are soldered to the motherboard. The user can not replace the internal battery and this can only be done by a certified technician. Build quality is quite good on this Chromebook and performance and speed for daily tasks is quite good and offers great value overall.
