It is also offered as a POE system (JOOAN 704NVR-4Y model) with cables provided and integrated POE switch and the installation is a little harder. JOOAN Wireless System weighs 6.8 pounds and measures 13.2 x 3.1 x 10.3 inches. To be able to record image you will need a hard drive and that is an additional purchase, which you may order when you’re getting the main unit- although up to 4TB is supported, even 500GB will give you more than a week’s recording if always left on and the mounting of HDD is very easy with screws provided. Cameras are user friendly and great quality, dust-proof, anti-thunder and waterproof, with 1/4 inch CMOS sensor, 2 units with 2.8mm lens and 2 units with 4mm lens, 3518E processor and embedded Linux OS and mega pixel lens. As connectivity options on the NVR you have the camera port, ethernet port, VGA output, a USB 2.0 port, a power supply port, 2 x antennae ports, HDMI output, 802.11bgn wireless and RJ45 Ethernet connector, a SATA port that supports a maximum of 4TB of HDD. It can record in four different modes of alarm recording, motion detection recording, timing recording and manual recording and in three different playback modes of regular, event and instant playback. The instructions on the manual are in bad English and not great but you can work it out easily by playing with the settings, it is not so hard. If you’re going for the POE model, the cables provided are only 60 feet long and you may need them longer. It has small faults but overall for this amount of money you really can’t go wrong with either the wireless or POE that is significantly cheaper- it is a great starter all inclusive camera system with very sharp image during both day and night.
