HP Pavilion 550-127c Desktop PC - AMD A10-7800

HP Pavilion 550-127c is a powerful desktop computer at a budget price with a quad core AMD A series A10-7800 accelerated processor at 3.5GHz speed up to 3.9GHz and 12 complete cores of 4 for CPU + 8 for GPU, decent 8GB DDR3 SDRAM memory at 1600MHz for smoothly running many apps at 1600MHz, software and browsers at the same time, generous storage capacity of 1TB = 1024GB Serial ATA hard drive to accommodate all your regular and media files including songs, videos and games at the faster 7200rpm speed (not 5400rpm) and the latest Windows 10 Home 64-bit OS with a user friendly interface and new features. This is a certified and refurbished model which means it is offered at a much lower price than the higher specs suggest and it is tested and certified to function and look just like brand new and includes the related original accessories but the warranty is just 90 days rather than a full year and may be shipped in a generic box. Technical specs are high for a budget certified and refurbished PC and Passmark benchmark score of 5190 as of today indicates a high end CPU that can handle quite a bit- daily and complex tasks as well as multimedia and gaming with the right graphics card. Windows 10 may appear challenging to some previous Windows 7 users but it is certainly nothing as big as the previous Wind 8 and 8.1 as most people report it to be a better processor.

HP Pavilion 550-127c Desktop AMD A10-7800

HP Pavilion 550-127c is a very nice and modern looking desktop PC in silver and black, weighs a bit over 15 pounds and measures 14.88 x 6.5 x 14.33 inches so it is like a standard size desktop PC and not huge but will need a permanent spot at your desk. Connectivity options include the 802.11ac variety with good speed and coverage, Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet with RJ-45 connector, 10 x USB 2.0 ports for all your peripherals (no USB 3.0 ports but shouldn’t be a biggie considering all that you’re getting), an HDMI output, a VGA output and a 300 watt power supply which would be sufficient for a basic home user. DVD Drive has a front vertical design rather than horizontal and this may also be a small challenge for some. Monitor is not included in the package but an OK set of keyboard and mouse is- they are both wired but look and feel modern. Graphics card is the AMD Radeon R7 and in terms of gaming and multimedia performance it can be compared to dedicated NVIDIA GeForce 940M and you’ll be fine most of the time at 1366 x 760 pixel resolution and medium settings. It is a reliable and stable computer with mid-range to high end specs, that will get the job done: A10-7800 processor is powerful, 8GB memory and 1TB HDD storage at 7200rpm is plenty, although SSD would have been nicer but would be hard at this low price point and you can always add it yourself and the integrated Radeon R7 is highly capable as long as you will not be playing the latest games of 2015-2016 at higher settings and resolutions and you can always add a dedicated card later but you will not be able to use a higher class GPU to this system.
