11.6″ HP Chromebook 11 G4 via Amazon
The latest edition HP Chromebook 11 has a very low entry level price and comes with the dual core Intel N2840 processor (1 MB cache) at 2.16GHz- 2.58GHz speed with a Passmark benchmark score of 1069 as of today that makes it faster than previous Intel Atoms, 2GB DDR3L SDRAM at 1600MHz for basic multitasking as you won’t be performing any heavy tasks on this computer, small 16GB eMMC Flash Solid State Drive as Google wants you to rely more on Cloud which also gives you a great deal of flexibility meaning you can have access to your data on whatever device wherever there is internet connection and the Chrome operating system that looks like the Google Chrome browser and updates itself regularly and unlike Windows systems it is automatically protected from viruses and there aren’t many viruses targeting these systems anyway.
So what you’re getting is a basic daily things system that offers a safe environment for your work and that is good for usual entertainment like smoothly streaming videos and browsing the internet. You need to be able to do everything you want to do on a browser or through an application from the App store (some offline apps too), Chrome devices don’t work like Windows or Mac devices. It has a reasonable quality 720p resolution webcam for your videos chats and taking still photos but bear in mind that there is no Skype for Chrome systems and you will find alternatives for everything you see on Windows, like Hangouts instead of Skype (Google Docs for Word, Sheets for Excel, Slides for PowerPoint and the usual GMail, Google Play etc.). 11.6 inch diagonal SVA WLED-bakcklit anti-glare screen has the high definition resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and looks quite all right on such a small display and the graphics card is the built in Intel HD that is sufficient for daily photo, video and internet browsing and playing Chrome games. Sound quality is better than what you can expect from such a compact and budget machine through the dual stereo speakers and HD Audio.
Graphite black HP Chromebook 11 G4 weighs 2.82 pounds and measures 11.81 x 8.1 x 0.81 inches and it is very compact, slim and lightweight.
