HP ENVY x360 is a modern convertible laptop with a Full HD IPS display, Beats Audio, the latest sixth generation ultra low voltage i5 processor and long battery life. It comes with the dual core Skylake Intel i5-6200U processor (3MB cache) at 2.3GHz-2.8GHz, 12GB DDR3L SDRAM for the best multitasking power, 1TB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400rpm rotating speed and Windows 10 operating system. 15.6 inch diagonal LED-backlit FHD IPS touch display has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and great viewing angles vertically and horizontally and supports multiple touch gestures. In terms of connectivity it doesn’t have an Optical Drive or Gigabit Ethernet connection for wired internet, but 802.11ac wireless that you can use with all the current WiFi standards and up to 3 times the speed, Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0 port, an HDMI output, a Media Card Reader and a Microphone-in and Headphone-out combo jack. You have a good quality integrated TrueVision high-definition webcam and dual-array digital microphone. The keyboard is backlit for typing comfortably in the dark or dim light and 10-key numeric pad on the right-hand side and a large responsive trackpad to navigate through Windows 10 apps. You can easily get 7-8 hours on a single charge from its 3-cell 48Wh battery.

HP 15-w117cl weighs 5.2 pounds and measures 15.04 x 9.84 x 0.94 inches and has a thin chassis, but average weight of a 15-inch machine, partly being touch display but is still portable- remember this is a big screen machine, not a 10-inch mini laptop you can fit in one hand. The good thing is it is quite the powerhouse so you can do pretty much anything you want- work and entertainment, office apps, photo editing, internet browsing with many browsers open and more. What we don’t love about it is the 5400rpm slower speed mechanical drive, but so does my 21.5 inch iMac and this is largely compensated by the 1024GB storage and high-end CPU with a Passmark benchmark score of 4036 at the moment and generous amount of memory. It is also not very small or lightweight if you’re looking for something ultra-portable, you need to look at other options. It is not suitable for advanced gaming as there is only the Intel HD 520 graphics card and no discrete GPU and you can still play some of the latest games at reduced settings and resolutions. So you have the Beats Audio for loud and clear sound, FHD IPS touch display, multimode functions of a beautiful design, solid construction, very large trackpad, backlit keyboard, and more than OK battery life at a reasonably affordable price for a convertible laptop.
