Transparent silver Asus VivoBook 17 (X712DA-BR7N6) is a 17.3-inch laptop with an AMD Ryzen 7-3700U processor, Radeon RX Vega 10 graphics card, 512GB Solid State Drive, 12GB DDR4 SDRAM memory, Windows 10 Home operating system and modern connectivity ports.

VivoBook 17 is designed more as a work laptop and would be good for use at home for work and entertainment and for school work. The quad-core Ryzen 7-3700U processor (4MB of L3 cache) offers effortless multitasking power and can handle most demanding tasks easily with 4 cores and 8 threads. It has a Passmark benchmark score of 7441 and runs at the speeds between 2.3GHz and 4.0GHz as needed by the tasks at hand.

12GB memory at 2666MHz allows you to have several browsers and apps open simultaneously without any delays or freezing. 512GB Solid State Drive offers a generous storage space and much higher speed than a regular HDD hard drive when you’re starting or shutting down the computer or opening files. The storage can be upgraded up to 1TB through the 2.5-inch HDD bay but you need an attachment cable. Windows 10 comes pre-installed with the latest update depending on when you start using it on your machine.

Transparent silver Vivobook 17 weighs 5.07 pounds and measures 16 x 10 x 0.8 inches- is slim and lightweight for a 17.3-inch laptop. There is no optical drive and the connectivity options include the 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 5.0, 2 x USB 2.0 Type A ports, a USB 3.0 Type A port, a USB 3.1 Type C port, an HDMI output, a Media Card Reader and a microphone/headphone combo. Please note that the keyboard is not backlit with RGB or vivobook 17 laptop ryzen 7, 12gb ramX712DA-BR7N6another type of backlighting. The typical Thermal Design Power is 15 watts and the battery life is roughly 5 hours on an average use of web browsing and video streaming.

The 17.3-inch LED-backlit non-touch display has the 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, clear images with the vibrant colors and good contrast. And the built-in graphics card is the Vega 10 that lets you play the simple, not-so-demanding games fluently and some of the latest games at lower settings and resolutions. It is great as a built-in graphics card and better than the Intel HD counterparts. You can enjoy the detailed images on the Full HD display thanks to the Radeon Vega 10 graphics. For how much this laptop costs screen quality is quite all right. It has a decent 2MP front facing webcam with a built-in microphone for your live Skype chats with friends and family. It comes with a year of warranty by Asus if you encounter any issues within the first 12 months.
