SSD is always a faster and better option for faster boot-ups and snappier overall performance so you can replace the hard drive with SSD. If you’d prefer a touch display this is not a touchscreen computer and quite frankly with this medium level price you’re already getting a glossy Active Matrix TFT Color LCD FHD sharp display with vibrant colours that seems to be certainly above average. It is not particularly lightweight- more like average weight and keyboard is not backlit but at least has the 10-key numeric pad on the side and reasonably responsive Acer’s Precision touchpad for smooth navigation on Windows 8 apps. Overall it looks like a very good value laptop computer with its superior upper mid-range performance of its Broadwell i5 CPU with a Passmark benchmark score of 3542 and decent visuals for work, school and entertainment purposes for moderate to demanding applications.
