Acer Aspire ES 15, ES1-572-31KW 15.6″ HD Laptop Review

Acer Aspire ES 15 ES1-572-31KW 15.6″ HD Laptop

Acer Aspire ES 15 ES1-572-31KW is a practical and powerful, 15.6-inch mid-range laptop with a sixth generation Intel i3 processor, a generous amount of storage, decent amount of battery life, the latest 802.11ac variety wireless, power and functionality with user-friendly features for the smooth and efficient running of your day to day tasks. Technical specs include the Skylake ultra low voltage dual core Intel i3-6100U processor (3MB L3 cache) at 2.3GHz speed, 4GB DDR3L SDRAM for adequate multitasking power, 1TB Serial ATA hard drive at 5400rpm rotating speed and Windows 10 64-bit Home operating system with faster start-ups of InstantGo technology and a few new and familiar user-friendly features. 15.6 inch CineCrystal Widescreen LED-backlit display has the 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio and high definition 1366 x 768-pixel resolution which is not amazing but more than adequate for those on a budget.

Midnight black Acer Aspire ES 15 looks rather sleek and stylish with nice curvature and pattern for a lower priced machine, weighs 5.29 pounds and is a little more than 1 inch thick- exact measurements are 10.16 x 15.03 x 0.97 inches. It offers a good range of convenient connectivity options / ports on both sides of the machine, including the M-Disc enabled 8X DVD-Super Multi Double-Layer Drive, Secure Digital (SD) Card, 802.11ac wireless with MIMO technology (dual band at 2.4 and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN  with RJ-45 port / connector for reliable wired internet access, a USB 3.0 port, 2 x USB 2.0 ports and an HDMI output with HDCP support. You can expect to get as much as 6.5 hours of battery life from its 4-cell lithium ion battery (3220 mAh) for things like video streaming if the light is at reduced setting. You will enjoy great performance on your daily tasks like surfing the net, word processing, video watching, any multimedia tasks except for the very demanding games at high settings as this is not a gaming machine with a dedicated graphics card but an integrated Intel HD 520 graphics.

It has a basic webcam on the top bezel with 640 x 480-pixel resolution and two integrated stereo speakers with HD Audio Support for more than sufficient sound for when you’re listening to music or watching movies. 4GB is not a lot of memory but will give you decent multitasking capability but can be expanded up to 16GB if needed- 8GB would be plenty for most people. 2GB/4GB/8GB memory sticks are supported by the sockets and they are reached by removing the base cover and if you do any damage, it won’t be covered by warranty. Build Your Own Cloud by Acer will give you a good deal of flexibility so you can have as big Cloud storage as you wish, and you have the best security and privacy. Please do not underestimate the power of the Intel i3 processor on this machine as you can certainly achieve quite a lot with it, including the advanced games when you have the right kind of dedicated graphics card, which is not available on this laptop, and runs quietly and stays cool the whole time. It is easy on the eyes, has a solid construction, comes with a good range of connectivity ports, large storage space, decent processing power, fast start-ups and more. It is a model we recommend if you’re in the market for a mid-range laptop at a budget price.
