Toshiba Satellite L75-C7136 17.3 inch laptop

Toshiba Satellite L75-C7136 is a modern and stylish looking 17.3 inch laptop with a HD+ display, decent Skylake dual core Intel i5-6200U processor (3MB Level 3 cache) at 2.3GHz to 2.8GHz speeds with turbo boost and hyper threading, 8GB DDR3L SDRAM for enhanced multitasking power, 1TB Serial ATA HDD storage at 5400rpm speed (very large space for your documents and multimedia files- music, photos, videos but at slower speed than 7200rpm or SSD’s) and Windows 10 64-bit operating system that this laptop is designed for and with new features like Cortona Personal Assistant and Microsoft Edge browser.

Quarter 2 2015 release sixth generation i5-6200U has a Passmark benchmark score of 3900 which places it in the upper mid-range category, offers good performance in both your daily and complex tasks and this is a decent value system overall for everyday productivity and fun. 17.3 inch diagonal HD+ TruBrite widescreen TFT display has the 1600 x 900 pixel resolution would be the minimum acceptable resolution for a screen this large but is clear and bright and lets you see the small details. Graphics card is the integrated Intel HD 520 for acceptable multimedia performance but not so much advanced gaming, you can still play games of 2015-2016 smoothly at lower settings as the performance can be compared to NVIDIA GeForce 820M.

Toshiba Satellite L75-C7136 17.3 inch Notebook

Silver Satellite L75 is easy on the eyes with its sleek design, weighs 5.7 pounds with measurements of 11 x 16.2 x 1.04 inches- is designed more as a desktop replacement rather than a portable laptop. It includes DVD-SuperMulti Optical Drive, 802.11bgn wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, 10/100/1000Base- T Ethernet, 2 x USB 3.0 ports for quicker data transfers (with a USB Sleep and Charge), an HDMI output, 6-in-1 memory card reader, 2 x USB 2.0 ports and 1 x headphone/microphone jack. We like the frameless with contoured keys non-backlit TruType keyboard with reduced key bounce, that is quite responsive so you can type more comfortably and a modern touchpad without buttons supporting multiple gestures.

Ultra low voltage processor has a Thermal Design Power of 15 watts and with 4-cell lithium ion battery you can expect decent battery life. It has solid SkullCandy speakers, includes the multidirecitonal TruTalk microphones so you can be heard clearly even when it is noisy. It is easy to set up so you can be up and running within 20-30 minutes of taking it out of the box (it sets itself up after you plug it into a power outlet- power cord is on the left). It is a fast and powerful system for school, small business or personal use at home, has a nice and modern design but large and heavy and not so portable, big screen is good for those that like working or watch movies on bigger displays and videos seem to look good on this screen. There is the 1 month trial version of Microsoft Office Word or Excel preinstalled and a basic free spreadsheet and word processing software offered by Toshiba that you can download. Overall it is a capable laptop for multimedia, office, multitasking and more complex and demanding tasks- 6th generation CPU with 8GB memory is quite all right.
