By using the DECT technology it provides a long range communication between the wireless central hub and the cameras and will alert you in a variety of ways as soon as they detect any activity, cam recording is started (into the built-in high capacity 32GB MicroSD you can put in directly into your computer) and it can call a phone number that you put in the system previously- such as that of your place of work, saying motion is detected.
Your smart phone or tablet can receive messages and you can view live images inside or outside home as it offers clear coverage and you can speak through the camera remotely. It has quite an interesting and useful feature that we haven’t seen before: A sensitive area function which is quite useful as you can crop an area on the screen that can unnecessarily set off the motion detector. Panasonic KX-HN6099W has night vision for up to 40 feet but the vision is fine- not super clear to be able to see all the details in low light and this is certainly not just about cops and robbers and can be used as a baby monitor. It is quite an advanced system with other features like sensing the temperature changes and notifying when it becomes too cold or hot or it can play lullabies, and you can actually talk through the cameras or have a two way conversation with the integrated microphone and speaker. Cameras are not wireless and you need a plug wherever you put them, the central hub is.

You can choose to monitor a specific indoor area from two different angles or two separate areas (family room, baby’s room, entrances etc.) by hiding them on a shelf or installing on a wall as the Panasonic KX-HN6099W comes with two indoor 0.3 megapixel CMOS cameras with audio and video motion detectors (resolution is just fine for a home monitoring system although not perfect). You’ll see red, yellow and green LED lights on the central hub and they indicate the status of your home system.
