It doesn’t come with 3D glasses but you’ll find a lens cap, remote control and batteries, CD-ROM in multiple languages, user guide and a quick start card and the AC power cord as well as the Optoma HD26 Projector in the box.. Picture quality is very good- sharp and clear and with brightness of images and great detail, you can use it during the day as well and it comes with customisable brightness settings- lower brightness in dimly light or darker rooms and higher brightness for daylight with curtains open and u can still watch the 3D content in great detail and sharpness but the advantage of setting it to lower setting would be the longer lamp life, otherwise you won’t get the advertised 6500 hours.

The adjustable brightness setting also means that you can use it more frequently for videos, TV or games- you have the gaming mode for more vibrant colours, better response times and more contrast. It works quietly with its super quiet fan. Connectivity options 2 x HDMI 1.4 ports with a HDMI cable included for free (you may use a variety of game consoles, digital set-top boxes and Blu-Ray players), 3D VESA sync port, MHL Enabled HDMI (one of the HDMI inputs is) so you can watch content directly from your mobile device, 12V Out jack, USB mini-B, Stereo Audio-Out to link to other sound systems. You can operate it with other HDMI devices with a single remote control (it has a backlit remote) on up to 300 inch diagonal image.

Optoma weighs 5.5 lbs with measurements of 8.8 x 12.4 x 4 inches- has a pretty compact size, comes with 10 watt integrated speakers which is adequate for a standard size living room. You can also use it with with various gaming consoles and Blu-ray player as it is a 3D compatible device. It stands out from competition with its superior image quality- having the 1080p helps with such large screen and you won’t experience much input la, jitter and the motion will be smooth which you will notice especially in action stuff. So you certainly get more than competitors for your money and the flaws appear to be insignificant- such as perhaps black could be nicer than a white for some people and there is not a 2D to 3D conversion. All in all, it is great though for an entry level home projector.
