You have the On/Off button, Menu, Start/Stop, blue-backlit LCD display with these 11 options, Timer/Temp, + and – on the pedestal display at the front. In the box you’ll get a free recipe book with a variety of recipes, a double use roasting rack and sous vide rack. We have reviewed the GMC650 model which is slightly larger in size and a different display panel design, the GMC 680 in stainless steel and black weighs 14.3 pounds and measures 18.2 x 16.9 x 12.2 inches- is compact and not very heavy. There is a total of 36 reviews by customers at the moment and the average rating is an impressive 4.9 out of 5 stars. It is suitable for use by anyone including the very experienced chefs and will make life easier for those with busy lives and not a lot of time to dedicate to the kitchen. It has the stainless steel exterior/housing, a non-stick and removable aluminum pot with a tempered glass lid so you can follow the cooking process without needing to open it and releasing the heat and a 0.8m integrated cord. Heat is distributed evenly by the aluminum pot and you have the perfectly cooked- sauteed and browned meals every single time. It will be great being able to quickly sear your steak in this pot straight after cooking it sous vide style.
You can either select from one of the 11 options or the manual mode for customized settings. It is perfectly safe to use as an ETL listed product which means it meets the minimum safety requirements. It is easy to clean as you can wipe the stainless exterior easily and remove the aluminum pot and racks and put them in the dishwasher. As a small con, the instructions could be a bit clearer and not assume people know certain things. It has a sleek and modern design- great finish with stainless steel on the outside (pretty enough to be left on the kitchen bench), is easy to operate and all the 11 functions work as described (performs as advertised), has many options and multiple functions, has a large capacity, cooks great tasting meals, is easy to clean and will make your life in the kitchen so much easier. You are almost always guaranteed a great performance, innovation, and very good value for money with Gourmia products.. Well this is at least what we’ve experienced so far. Warranty is 1 year by Gourmia and you’ll also get decent customer and tech assistance with a prompt reply.
