Emerson Quiet Kool EARC6RE1 is a 2017 model Energy Star rated 6,000 BTU 115V air conditioner. It is for window mounting installation and is good enough for cooling rooms that are between 150 to 250 square feet.
Energy Star rating means it will save you on energy bills with its Energy Efficiency Rating- EER of 12.2. It has a big LCD display with the digital temp control between 62 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit and three-speed choices of low, medium and high as well as auto. It also has the 24-hour on/off timer and different cooling options. You have the Power, Fan Speed, Eco, Mode, Filter, Sleep and Timer buttons.
You can also change the settings with the remote controller from a distance across the room. You have all the same functions on the remote controller for your convenience. It comes with the 8-way airflow louvers so the air can be directed where it is needed the most. This Emerson window mounting air con unit is rather simple to set up (customers commented on how easy it is) and is suitable for use in both offices and homes. It will restart automatically and conveniently in the case of a power failure.
It saves on energy with the low voltage startup and runs quietly (55 dBA decibel sound rating) but still may be a little hard for some people to sleep when it is on. A large 200 sq ft room will be cool and comfy in five to ten minutes even when it is quite hot.
Emerson Quiet Kool weighs 44.1 pounds and measures 18.6 x 15.6 x 13.3 inches. It is a great little unit for your bedroom or a small to average size living room that will help you get through the summer heat comfortably. One of the customers mentioned the slight vibrations when it is set on the highest but it is rare that they would need it at high.
Emerson is a well-known brand for air conditioners. The Quiet Kool EARC6RE1 model is a very good quality and durable product that is offered with a decent five-year warranty for the compressor, two years for the parts and one year for the labor. It is also a UL listed product which means it meets the general global security requirements. There aren’t many similarly priced air con units with as generous warranty. And most importantly it does the job well and cools pretty quickly.
