Acer Aspire AXC-704G-UW61 is a hot new release compact desktop PC with just one-third the size of a regular desktop, modern design and entry level specs and features for the efficient performance of daily tasks. Technically it comes with the early 2015 release dual-core Intel Celeron N3050 processor (2MB L2 cache) at 1.60GHz up to 2.16GHz speeds, 4GB DDR3L SDRAM to let you run apps and browsers simultaneously and expandable up to 8GB for those that need more multitasking power, 500GB Serial ATA hard drive at 7200rpm spindle speed and Windows 10 64-bit Home operating system. The links will take you to a certified refurbished product that comes with a standard 90-day warranty and original accessories, in a generic box but tested, inspected, cleaned to look and work like brand new, and that’s why you’re getting it at a cheaper price. Thermal Design Power is 6 watts for the whole CPU that also makes it suitable for light and portable laptops and longer battery life. Aspire XC weighs 11.3 pounds and measures 10.49 x 3.94 x 14.55 inches, has a space saving design so you can fit it pretty much anywhere you want, and looks sleek and modern too with a contemporary hairline finish- is definitely not an eye sore. There is no monitor but a USB keyboard and optical mouse, as well as a power cord and Quick Start Guide.

Connectivity options include an 8x DVD SuperMulti Double-Layer Optical Drive, a 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit  Ethernet port for wired internet access, 2 x HDMI outputs, 2 x USB 3.0 ports, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, SD Memory Card Reader, a Headphone jack, a Microphone jack, 3 x Audio ports, a mini PCI Express slot, a 3.5 inch bay and an external 5.25 inch bay. No wireless card or Bluetooth is mentioned in the specs so you will probably need a low-cost wireless adapter for that. Celeron N3050 has a very modest benchmark score of 903, and you’re looking at smooth running of daily tasks, which is helped by 4GB memory. Solid State Storage would be nice here but that is probably not possible at this very low price point but you can certainly add one as they have been coming down in price, and you have a large 500GB storage for lots of photos, music and videos and the 7200rpm is certainly faster than 5400rpm, and the graphics card is an Intel HD Braswell that is much better than the previous Bay Trail version but still not good enough for running the latest modern games and you’ll be OK with the daily multimedia stuff. Windows 10 comes with some new great features that you will like, such as InstantGo for starting up, waking up from hibernation mode and shutting down quickly, built-in security features to protect your from malicious attacks, Cortona Personal Assistant, Windows 7 Start screen and more. This is a simple low-end desktop for simple daily tasks and does the job just fine.
