2017 10.1” HP Pavilion x2 Detachable 2-in-1 Laptop Tablet

2017 HP Pavilion x2 Detachable Premium Flagship Laptop

2017 release HP Pavilion x2 is a low end 10.1 inch detachable laptop with a premium look and feel at a budget price, is promoted as the flagship model of the company and comes with an aluminium chassis, two webcams- front and rear, up to 9.5 hours of battery life, modern connectivity ports and more. Technical specs are basic for handling daily tasks, as you have the Quarter 2 2016 release quad-core Intel Atom x5-Z8350 processor at 1.44GHz speed up to 1.92GHz- burst frequency and without hyperthreading, a modest 2GB memory for basic multitasking, 32GB eMMC flash storage that is small in size and not as snappy as SSD but faster than a SATA mechanical drive and Windows 10 64-bit Home operating system. The system boots up and shuts down very fast thanks to the Windows 10 and the flash storage.

10.1 inch WLED-backlit WXGA BrightView high definition touch display with the antiglare finish has the 1280 x 800 pixel resolution which is not as clear as a Full HD display but considering the screen is quite small the image will feel sharper than it actually is and the panel is IPS- In Plane Switching and gives you great viewing angles both horizontally and vertically as you will also use the screen as a tablet and you can conveniently share it with other people. It supports the 10-finger multi-touch so you can navigate through Windows 10 screen comfortably and there is a good quality front-facing HP TrueVision high-definition webcam that includes the two built-in digital microphones, one of which helps block the noise in the background and the rear 5MP HP Wide Vision. Intel HD 400 Braswell is the graphics card that comes with this Atom processor and will only let you play the older and not so demanding titles as you’ll be limited by the Atom x5 with a Passmark benchmark score of 1220 at the time of this review.

2017 HP Pavilion x2 Detachable Premium Laptop

Silver Pavilion x2 has an aluminum chassis, is sleek and modern, weighs just 2.5 pounds and has the dimensions of 10.3 x 7.1 x 0.9 inches and will fit in your small bag easily. The 2-cell lithium polymer battery will let the laptop stay unplugged for up to 9-10 hours if you are outside the office or home, which is basically a full day as the Thermal Design Power for the Atom processor is less than 4 watts. You have the DTS Studio Sound and stereo speakers for better than average sound for your songs, videos, and games. There is no DVD Drive due to also the size and design but comes with the latest 802.11ac wireless, Bluetooth 4.0, a mini HDMI output, a USB 3.0 port, a USB Type-C port with fast charging, a USB 2.0 port, a MicroSD Media Card Reader and a Headphone and Microphone combo. This is a pretty nice computer if you will use it for typing up Word documents when you’re away from your main powerful computer, play light games, watch movies, listen to songs but not so great if you want to work with complex tasks and play the advanced games.
