The latest 2016 model Samsung Chromebook 3 is an entry level computer for casual and light users with simple specs, reasonable connectivity options including the faster ac wireless, a great battery life of up to 11 hours and Chrome operating system so you get a good combination of good performance in things like internet browsing and video streaming and energy efficiency. Specs, features, and appearance seem to be the same as the Samsung Chromebook XE500C13-K02US model except for the weight and small adjustments for the latest 2016 model. Technical specs are just adequate for simple daily tasks and include the dual-core Celeron N3050 processor at 1.60GHz up to 2.16GHz with turbo boost, no hyperthreading (2 cores and 2 threads) and a benchmark score of 895, 4GB LPDDR3 RAM at 1600MHz is generous for a Chromebook and offers good level of multitasking at this budget level, 16GB eMMC flash storage and Chrome OS with constant automatic updates in the background. There is no DVD Drive and no Ethernet for wired internet access but 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, an HDMI output, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, Sleep and Charge USB, a DisplayPort, a Headphone Out and Microphone In and Micro SD Card Reader. Metallic black Samsung Chromebook 3 has a nice black textured finish and is easy on the eyes, weighs 2 pounds with dimensions of  11 x 0.7 x 8 inches- is slim and lightweight. There is a 720p resolution high definition webcam for live chats but there is no Skype for Chrome systems and you can use Google Hangouts instead.

11.6 inch LED-lit HD anti-reflective vibrant screen with 1366 x 768-pixel resolution and 16:9 image aspect ratio offers sharp and clear images. It has an acceptable audio quality through its 2 x 1.5-watt stereo speakers. The claimed 11 hours of battery life is achievable but at reduced light settings, so the average battery life would be around 8-9 hours. You don’t need to run a virus protection software on a Chromebook as there are not much of virus attacks for them and the system has built-in security and is constantly updated. Chrome is a Google system as you know and is basically no different to using Google Chrome OS and if you’re using a laptop mostly for the internet and all apps that you see on Google App Store will work and there is a substitute for each of your favorite Windows software. It is easy to set up, offers simplicity overall, has decent security, is lightweight, compact and portable, has good connectivity, responsive and functional keyboard and touchpad, very impressive battery life with the ultra low voltage processor with a Thermal Design Power- TDP of just 6 watts, a quiet and fanless system, fast shipping and you will certainly get more than what you expect at this low price point. It starts fast and you can open and close the applications quickly. You will not be playing the demanding Windows games here anyway and the built-in Intel HD Braswell, with twice the power of Intel HD Bay Trail, is capable enough to handle the regular multimedia and Chrome games. If you’re on a budget and you’ll be using the computer mainly for internet and are looking for a good alternative for a cheap Windows laptop then we would recommend this latest Chromebook by Samsung, which is obviously one of the leading technology brands globally.
